Under review
The English Premier League (EPL) is being questioned about alleged connections between Alvin Chau and several gambling brands that are currently sponsoring top-tier franchises, less than a week after Macau courts sentenced the Chinese billionaire criminal mastermind to 18 years in prison.
Ten EPL teams and eight betting brands are powered by TGP.
The Gaming Platform, an Isle of Man provider of online gambling platforms, was linked to Chau, according to a Mail on Sunday investigation (TGP). Ten EPL teams are affiliated with eight betting brands that are powered by TGP.
The EPL is desired by the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Gambling Harm.
